Visit ke.com.pk — K-Electric's own portal — and enter your 13-digit consumer number. K-Electric (formerly KESC) serves Karachi, Hub (Lasbela), and parts of Sindh/Balochistan. It is not connected to the PITC system used by the other 11 DISCOs.

Visit the official Sui Northern Gas Pipelines portal at sngpl.com.pk and enter your 11-digit SNGPL consumer number (printed on any gas bill). SNGPL serves Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. CheckBills.pk covers electricity bills only.

SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines) covers Punjab and KPK. SSGC (Sui Southern Gas Company) covers Sindh and Balochistan. If you are in Karachi or Sindh, your gas provider is SSGC. SSGC bills are checked at ssgc.com.pk.

SNGPL consumer numbers are exactly 11 digits. They are printed on your gas bill or SMS alerts. This is different from electricity reference numbers (10–14 digits).

FPA stands for Fuel Price Adjustment. It is a monthly variable surcharge (or occasional credit) determined by NEPRA, reflecting changes in power generation fuel costs (furnace oil, coal, LNG). FPA is the primary reason your bill amount changes month-to-month even when your unit consumption is stable.

Slab rates are a tiered pricing structure: as your monthly kilowatt-hours increase, the rate per unit rises in steps. Domestic slabs typically run: 0–50, 51–100, 101–200, 201–300, 301–500, 501–700, and 700+ units. Staying in a lower slab reduces your average cost per unit significantly.

A protected (lifeline) consumer is a residential electricity user consuming 200 units (kWh) or fewer per month. Protected consumers qualify for subsidized slab rates under NEPRA policy, paying substantially less per unit than unprotected consumers.

TRS (Tariff Rationalization Surcharge) is a fixed government levy added to electricity bills to balance the uniform national power rate across regions with different generation costs. It appears as a line item alongside GST and FPA.

For consumers with TOU (Time-of-Use) smart meters, peak hours are typically 7 PM to 11 PM, when electricity rates are highest. Off-peak hours apply at all other times. Shifting heavy appliances (ACs, irons, washing machines) to off-peak periods reduces bills for TOU users.

LPS (Late Payment Surcharge) is a penalty charged when you pay your electricity bill after the due date. Your bill shows both the amount due (within the grace period) and the amount after due date (with LPS added).

Meter rent is a recurring monthly charge for the physical electricity meter installation, where applicable. It appears as a separate line item and is charged regardless of units consumed.

Open the JazzCash app, tap 'Bill Payment', select your DISCO (e.g. MEPCO, LESCO), enter your reference number, confirm the amount, and pay. You can also dial *786# and follow the USSD prompts. Keep your reference number and the transaction ID as proof.

Open the Easypaisa app, choose 'Pay Bills', select your DISCO, enter your reference number, confirm the amount, and complete payment. You can also pay via *786# USSD without a smartphone.

Registration is handled entirely on the government portal at css.pitc.com.pk: enter your electricity reference number, fill in your details, complete OTP verification, and submit. Eligible protected consumers (≤200 units/month) are registered for the subsidized tariff.

Residential consumers using 200 units (kWh) or fewer per month qualify as 'protected consumers' under NEPRA's policy. They receive subsidized slab rates. The Cross Subsidy Scheme (CSS) at css.pitc.com.pk handles formal registration.
